LAURA A. LINDNER is a shareholder (partner) with the firm of Lindner & Marsack, S.C. She was in private practice for ten years in Chicago, Illinois, first with the law firm of Ross & Hardies (now McGuireWoods) for three years, and then with the firm Seyfarth Shaw, where she became an equity partner. Immediately before joining Lindner & Marsack, Ms. Lindner was Senior Counsel at SBC Communications Inc. (now AT&T Inc.)?for almost two years, where she handled employment and benefits litigation for SBC's Midwest Region.

Since graduating from law school in 1993, Ms. Lindner has practiced exclusively in the area of labor and employment law. Her practice has been focused primarily on the defense of employers nationwide in employment and benefits litigation, including claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation under federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, claims under the FMLA, FLSA, and ERISA, and state tort and breach of contract law claims. In addition to litigation in federal and state courts throughout the country, Ms. Lindner has defended employers before federal, state, and municipal administrative agencies, as well as in arbitration proceedings, including labor arbitrations and employment disputes before the American Arbitration Association and National Association of Securities Dealers. Ms. Lindner has been lead counsel on individual suits as well as co-lead counsel on class action and EEOC pattern and practice suits. Applying her extensive litigation and jury trial experience, Ms. Lindner counsels employers on litigation and class action avoidance strategies, and on conducting investigations of harassment and other employee misconduct.
