Joe joined Johns, Flaherty & Collins in 1998 and became a partner in 2005, continuing the firm's good neighbor, great lawyer tradition. A member of our personal/family services and business/employment groups, Joe's practice areas include litigation, personal injury, insurance defense, real estate law, landlord-tenant law, municipal law, appeals, employment law, criminal defense, bankruptcy and civil rights. Joe received his bachelor's degree in 1992 and his law degree in 1998 - both from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he is a member of the Law School's moot court board. He is admitted to practice law in Wisconsin and in the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin. He is a member of the La Crosse County Bar Association and the State Bar of Wisconsin. Joe has already amassed an impressive volunteer record - both in his professional activities and in community service. He is past treasurer and current member of the La Crosse Area Young Lawyers Association, president of the La Crosse Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and a member of the Wisconsin and National Associations of Criminal Defense Lawyers. In addition, Joe participates as a volunteer judge for the regional high school mock trial competition and has volunteered for the La Crosse County Bar Association Law Day. He is the president of the local leadership committee and chair of the public policy committee for the La Crosse Regional Office of the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Wisconsin. He is also a graduate of the Greater La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program. |
