Michael's trial experience includes a wide range of claims, from obtaining a jury verdict against Ford Motor Company for manufacturing a defective auto and?obtaining a compensatory and punitive damage claim against a national insurance company for libel and slander on behalf of one of its former agents to claims involving farm accidents; ATV accidents; train, boat, motorcycle, and premises accidents, as well as dog bites; and claims against manufacturers of defective products. He has argued numerous cases before the Wisconsin Court of Appeals and the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Michael has an AV rating (highest possible) by an international service, which indicates a "very high to preeminent" legal ability and "very high" ethical standards as established by confidential opinions of members of the Bar. He also was rated as one of the "Best of the Bar" in a survey of lawyers conducted by Fox Cities Magazine.
