Shannon joined CowanOwen PC in 2004 after serving as a Summer Associate for Hendrick & Bryant in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.? She also served as a Research Assistant for Halprin, Temple, Goodman & Maher in Washington, D.C. and was a Legal Assistant with another Richmond, Virginia law firm.

While in law school, Shannon served on the Executive Council of the Moot Court Board and was the Co-Chairperson of the Edwin M. Stanley Intramural Moot Court Competition.?
