Practice Description : Mr. Jones founded Jones Rook Austin, L.L.P. He has assembled a group of young and diligent attorneys who strive to provide customized legal services that fulfill the specific philosophy of each client. Mr. Jones' clients, some of which he has represented for more than fifteen years, include companies and individuals involved in all forms of personal injury litigation. He is actively involved in medical malpractice litigation, representing physicians, hospitals, nurses and other health care providers. In addition to representing manufacturers and other companies in cases of alleged toxic tort injury, he also defends vehicular, premises and industrial accident claims, as well as medical and general products liability cases. Mr. Jones was admitted to bar, 1984, Texas; also admitted to practice before U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit; U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas; Eastern District of Oklahoma and Western District of Arkansas. Trial and Appellate Experience : Participated in the trial of cases with pro hac vice admission from coast (Florida Federal Southern District Court, Miami) to coast (California Superior Court Central District Los Angeles), as well as all regions of Texas, both state and federal. Oversaw the preparation of cases for trial as a national coordinating or special assigned advisory counsel in most states. Prepared and participated in appeals before the Federal Fifth Circuit, and several of the Texas appellate divisions, as well as the Texas Supreme Court. Since the inception of Jones, Rook, Austin in January of 1998, most of the cases defended by Mr. Jones have involved damages allegations of $1 million or more. |
