Angie began her law career as a law clerk in the U.S. District Court - Northern District of Texas. She started working with Tom Goranson in 1988 and left the practice in 1992 to serve a stint as an Associate Judge in the 256th Judicial District Court and later in the 254th Judicial District Court. Angie returned to the firm January 1, 1996.? She is Board Certified in Family Law and plays a very active role in the legal community. Among the organizations with whom Angie?has been?involved are the State Bar of Texas, Dallas Bar Association, Attorneys Serving the Community, Dallas Alliance of Collaborative Professionals. She also served as a Board member of the Dallas Child Advocacy Center from 2001 until 2006. As a former Judge, she is frequently invited to speak on family law topics and Angie has been recognized numerous times as both a Top 50 Female Super Lawyer and a top 100 Super Lawyer by Texas Monthly and a Best Lawyer in Dallas by D Magazine.

Angie Bain is an experienced family law litigator with a highly successful trial record. In addition, she has also spent part of her career serving as a Dallas County family court associate judge. The beginning years of her professional life were spent as a child abuse case worker.? Having had?all experiences, she believes strongly in fair, interest-based settlements in family matters. This philosophy has led her to the forefront of the Collaborative Law movement in Dallas. Collaborative law is a divorce negotiation process in which the parties and their attorneys cooperate to keep the dissolution of the marriage out of the adversarial arena of the courthouse. Angie's practice emphasizes complex property litigation and cases involving child related issues. A primary goal of her law practice is to minimize the negative impact of divorce on children, as evidenced by her serving on the board of directors of the Dallas Child Advocacy Center. Angie graduated cum laude from Texas A & M University in 1976, cum laude from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1987 and was board certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in 1993. Angie chaired the Family Law Section of the Dallas Bar Association in 1998, and has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 1999. She is a frequent speaker to both professional and community organizations.? Angie's "non-law" passions are her family, singing in her church choir and teaching.
