After being admitted to the bar, he worked for a year as a litigator in Norristown, Pennsylvania and then three years as a law clerk to the Honorable Lawrence E. Wood of the Chester County Court of Common Pleas. He is a member of the Montgomery County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association.

graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where he was an editor of the University of Pittsburgh Law Review. Upon graduation, Mr. Kleiman was presented the Statewide Award of Excellence in Family Law by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Thereafter, he served as law clerk for the Honorable Anita B. Brody in the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas. Mr. Kleiman writes and lectures on various family law topics, and is a regular volunteer for the Support Center for Child Advocates in Philadelphia. He is a founding member of the Montgomery County Children's Advocacy Program, an entity serving the unmet legal needs of abused and neglected children in Montgomery County.
