Mr. Block is a graduate of Skidmore College, and received his J.D. from the University of Miami. He has extensive and varied experience in the fields of education law as well as labor and employment law. He has represented school districts in collective bargaining issues, and has litigated on behalf of districts in state and federal courts, in matters before the Commissioner of Education, the Public Employment Relations Board and the New York State Division of Human Rights. He has also served as counsel in teacher disciplinary proceedings, Civil Service Law Section 75 hearings, and impartial handicapped hearings and appeals. Mr. Block is actively involved in the Suffolk Academy of Law. Mr. Block is a member of the New York State Bar Association's Labor and Employment Law Section and its committee on Collective Bargaining and Arbitration. He has also served as an adjunct professor at the State University of New York at Old Westbury where he taught collective bargaining and labor relations. Mr. Block is admitted to practice law in the United States Supreme Court, the United State Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the United States Court of Federal Claims, the United States Military Court of Appeals, the United State District Court, Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, and all the Courts of the State of New York
