Doris J. Newman received her Juris Doctor in 1996 from Seton Hall University School of Law, Newark, New Jersey and her B.A. in Law and Justice from Glassboro State College in 1987. Prior to joining the REM ZELLER law group in July 1998, Ms. Newman worked with general practitioners in Morris and Middlesex counties. Before entering law school, Ms. Newman was employed by Merrill Lynch in Somerset, New Jersey and then by the Somerset County Probation Department in Somerville, New Jersey, where she supervised both juvenile and adult offenders for five years. At Seton Hall, Ms. Newman was a member of the Disability Law Clinic and worked with the Inmate Advocacy Program on research regarding treatment of mentally ill prisoners. Ms. Newman has extensive experience in residential and commercial real estate. In 2001, she joined the Criminal Defense Team of the REM ZELLER law group and has focused her efforts primarily in criminal law and municipal court matters. |
