Our firm founder, Ward F.(Fred) Hoppe is a long time resident of Lincoln and his family has played a significant role in the planning, development and growth of many areas in Lincoln. Fred Hoppe has strong ties to the local community and is committed to giving back to the hometown where he has been given so much. Mr. Hoppe has concentrated his practice in the area of real estate agency and development and is a Housing Credit Certified Professional(HCCP). He is an active participant in the National Homebuilders Association, serving as Director and on their Legal Affairs Committee and a Multifamily Trustee. Mr. Hoppe also serves as second vice president of the Nebraska State Homebuilders and is a Chair of the Affordable Housing Committee. He is a member of both Lincoln and Central local chapters of the NSH and he remains an active member of the Lincoln Lions Club. Mr. Hoppe regularly gives back to the community through pro bono legal work for the Nebraska Housing Resource, which creates opportunities for low-income persons to obtain affordable housing. In the midst of his busy schedule, Mr Hoppe makes time to enjoy the beautiful Nebraska countryside during duck hunting season.

In addition to her real estate, business and estate planning practice, Shannon Harner provides consulting for companies who seek to implement or improve knowledge management processes, procedures and technology. She has appellate experience at the Nebraska Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, as well as the Eighth Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel. Ms. Harner is also actively involved in support of the arts and community leadership development. She serves on the public art committee of the Lincoln Arts Council and co-chaired the first Pennies for Lincoln project that brought the "young Abe" bronze statue to the front of the Lancaster County Hall of Justice. She is also pro bono legal council for the Lofte Community Theatre in Cass County and enjoys performing at the annual Gridiron fundraiser for the Lincoln Community Playhouse. When not chasing her muse onstage, Ms. Harner is a pro bono attorney for the Volunteer Lawyers Program at Legal Services of Southeast Nebraska. She is also an active member of the Leadership Lincoln Program Committee, a group teaching community leadership, grassroots involvement and leadership skills.
