Our Experience

Family law matters are often very stressful for those involved. Emotions can run high. Some of our clients see us during the blackest period of their entire life. We see their pain every day. We understand and respect what some of our clients go through.

At the same time, we have an advantage. Our combined experience (40 years, to be exact) tells us how to help them. We know the courts, case law, and statutes and diligently keep abreast of changes in the law. We can tell our clients, with accuracy, the obstacles they face and their chances of success.

Over the years, we have developed a reputation for being calm and level-headed-something our clients greatly appreciate. It's also a reputation that commands respect from our peers and judges.

We have discovered, over hundreds of trials, that being civil and polite will often get you to your goal a lot faster than being aggressive. Sometimes, aggressiveness can cost a client extra time and money. Most cases settle out of court. If we are civil to the other side, we can often get a better deal for our client.

However, if we believe that an aggressive approach is in the best interest of our client, then that will be our approach. Our colleagues know that, too.
