Bonne Bridges immediately began specializing in the representation of physicians and health care institutions involved in malpractice suits. Much of the firm's ongoing trial practice continues to be focused upon the health care industry; however, over the years, the firm has expanded its practice into other areas including employment law, elder abuse & long term care, legal malpractice, HMO liability, insurance bad faith litigation, licensing board matters and civil appeals.

In recent years, Bonne, Bridges, Mueller, O'Keefe & Nichols has also established an appellate department, an employment law department, an elder abuse department and an administrative law department, in addition to its traditional representation of physicians and health care entities. Each of the firm's departments is staffed by attorneys who are intimately familiar with the law pertaining to their area of special interest and each has had extensive trial experience.
