| Alex was born in Miami, Florida. He graduated from Florida International University in 1993, with a B.A. degree in History, then earned his J.D. in 1996 from George Washington University School of Law. During law school, Alex clerked for several prestigious Miami law firms giving him experience in all aspects of civil litigation, white collar criminal defense and First Amendment law.
Alex was also a member of the International Law Society, the Hispanic Law Students Association, the Student Health Law Association and served as a legal intern at the Legal Aid Center.
Since joining Zarco Einhorn & Salkowski, Alex has co-authored "Practical Aspects of Franchise Representation; Alternative Dispute Resolution: Which Method is Best For Your Client," which was presented before the Business Law Section of the Florida Bar. Alex has also authored several articles discussing legal issues at the forefront of the franchise industry and has been interviewed by Restaurant Business magazine.
Alex is admitted to practice before all state courts in Florida, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the United States District Court of Connecticut, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Alex has represented clients in federal and state court in California, New York, Tennessee, Montana, Ohio and Iowa. Alex is fluent in Spanish and is a member of the American Bar Association, Florida Bar Association, Cuban-American Bar Association and Dade County Bar Association. |
